The Mama Expo

Skills Competition at St. Clair College

This Saturday was the Skills Competition at St. Clair College. Two of our students, Logan Barr-Mulligan and Jessica Parent represented our school on the Culinary team. They both did an excellent job, with Logan placing silver and Jessica with bronze. Congratulations goes out to both of them on their outstanding performance! One of these well deserving students will represent our school at the Qualifying round in London on April 18th.

Model UN Trip

The ACS Model United Nations team returned from Kalamazoo, Michigan as March Break began and brought back valuable knowledge and a genuine pride and appreciation of belonging to a global organization dedicated to peace and cooperation.  Each delegate put forth a noteworthy effort and engaged in the debates as a true ambassador of democracy.  A special congratulations goes out to Mitchell Hebert for receiving second honours for his contributions during the crisis committees which took place for 2 of the 4 conference days.   

The ACS and Catholic Central teams representing Canada among over 500 American delegates.

Entrepreneurship - PLEASE VOTE!!

Three groups of ACS students who are currently running their own side businesses have entered the province wide Make Your Pitch video competition

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE vote for them, and vote often.  Each person can vote once per day - so tell everyone you know to go on facebook and help these Raiders get some province-wide recognition.

Zaheem Riberdy and Damon Chor are currently the MOST VIEWED video in the London Region (Windsor to Kitchener).  His custom designs are great!!

ACS Model United Nations team

The ACS Model United Nations team is heading to Kalamazoo Michigan for the Mid American Model United Nations conference from March 10-14.  They will compete against hundreds of American delegates while discussing current world events.  Good luck at the conference!

O.F.S.S.A Wrestling & Swimming Results


Earlier this week two Raider swimmers travelled to Toronto to compete at the OFSAA Championships.
Both girls made The "A" finals!
Junior Denise Bueno finished 7th in the Breaststroke and  Mackenzie Noble finished 8th in the  Sr Girls' Breaststroke.

Congratulations to both Denise and MacKenzie on outstanding performances


Earlier this week three  Raider wrestlers were at the WFCU in Windsor to compete at the OFSAA Championships.
Sadie Chantler finished in the TOP 12. 
Denroi Clemente and Anastaysia Pharr both  finished in the TOP 8.

Public Speaking Contest Winners!

On Sunday, 16 students from around Windsor and Essex County competed in the Essex Youth Center Optimist Club public speaking contest.   From the competitors, the top 3 were selected to represent the region in the district level competition.  Of those who advanced, two were from Assumption!  Tejas Pandya's speech scored first overall while Allison Nguyen was tied for second place.  They will be representing Windsor/Essex at the next level of competition in a couple week.
