Students are expected to wear the school uniform on exam days.  Exceptions are for the graduating students who turn in uniform clothing to Room 112.  This clothing needs to be clean and in good repair.
Graduating students will be issued a uniform pass that must be presented when entering the exam room. Teachers will have a list of students who were granted casual dress passes for the Lottery.

Honesty is important at all times and especially during exams.  Please refer to the student handbook for our policy regarding cheating.  Students are to bring their textbook(s) to the exam room and turn them in to their teacher prior to the start of the exam.

Pens, pencils, erasers, rulers
Calculators – with prior approval from the teacher
Notes, reference materials – open book exams with prior approval from the teacher

Any electronic device (eg. cell phone, pager, iPod, etc.) or other item that can be used to communicate, store, share or retrieve information

Students found to be in possession of any of these materials in the exam room will be presumed to have them for the purpose of cheating.  Teachers will direct them to Room 112.  School administration will investigate the matter and make decisions according to school policy.

All students missing an exam without a valid excuse will be assigned a grade of zero on the exam.  In addition, the student will be placed on academic contract.

Raising Kids in a New Kind of World Presentation - June 10

WECDSB Parent Involvement Committee Presents

Raising Kids in a New Kind of World …
practical solutions for busy parents

Guest Speaker: Michael Reist

Long-time teacher, nationally acclaimed speaker and author of the Canadian bestseller Raising Boys in a New Kind of World.
From Facebook to Xbox to the iPhone, children and teenagers are living in a social environment very different from the one their parents and teachers grew up in. How do we raise our children in such a new world? What are the new rules? Do any of the old rules still apply?

This thought-provoking workshop will deal with some of the most pressing issues facing parents and teachers today: the internet, video games, discipline, homework, bullying, keeping the lines of communication open – among many others.

This initiative was funded by a Regional Parent Reaching Out Grant from The Ministry of Education

Date: Wednesday, June 10, 2015
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 PM
